Good Show but Room for Improvement
I received a call from MGM ticket office hours before the Bruno Mars concert Sunday, Dec 5, 2021, notifying me it was rescheduled to Thursday, Dec 9, 2021 due to a technical issue. Things happen but it is hard to believe a venue like MGM could not resolve the issue with at least six hours before the concert. I can only assume, it was something with Bruno Mars or his band.
The concert was scheduled to begin at 8:00pm. Bruno Mars did not take the stage until approximately 8:45pm and only played approximately 1.5 hours.
Phones were locked up in security bags to not record or take any photos. Due to the over the top desire on Bruno Mars's part to not have phones to share anything about his show, concert goers expected something spectacular, but there was nothing extra special about the concert.
The music was fabulous and Bruno Mars, himself, sounded great! The overall performance fell a bit flat for me. I did enjoy myself, however, I did expect more than stage lighting, some pyro tech affects and a few dance moves considering how talented he is and the price of the tickets.
MGM has never disappointed. I have seen other concerts there and MGM always is organized and has customer friendly employees.
